Rules for importing your car in Turkey

In Turkey, foreigners can use their cars with foreign numbers for 24 months. At the end of this period, the car will leave the territory of Turkey.
Foreigners without a residence permit are allowed to use their car for no more than 90 days within 180 days.
An important condition is also the fact that, according to the rules, only the owner can drive his vehicle, or should be in the car if someone else is behind the wheel. Otherwise, fines will be applied.
In Turkey, you can drive under your foreign license for 6 months. If you plan to stay for a longer period, you should apply for a Turkish driver's license.
If you are importing your car from abroad, the best option is sea transportation of passenger cars. On the other hand, you can enter the country yourself in your vehicle.
