If you have already bought property in Turkey from a developer and your plans are to live in the country for a long time (more than 1-3 months), then sooner or later you will face the question of obtaining a residence permit in Turkey - a residence permit or a residence permit based on real estate ownership. But while you have not decided to buy yet, just exploring, then you will also receive a tourist residence permit, the basis for which will be the notarized lease agreement.

In the future, a long-term residence permit may serve in obtaining citizenship, and therefore it is necessary to understand and monitor the correctness of the collected documents during this entire process.

To conclude a notarized lease agreement, the presence of both the tenant and the landlord is required. The side of the lessor may be represented by a third party on the basis of a power of attorney given to him. The lease agreement can be composed for any period of interest to the tenant.

Required documents from the tenant: passport and turkish tax number.

Required documents from the landlord: passport, tax number, if the landlord is presented by a third party, a power of attorney and an identity card.
